thank you, why is my score so low compared to others without JIT?

What is an Mflop exactly?

I have heard lots about mflops and see lots of tests on youtube run on mflops. My Evo I ran about 67 mflops and I have a Epic now that runs about 8.87 mflops. Why just a drastic change? I know the Epic is a better phone so is a lower number better. What is your average mflop?

A higher number is better.

The reason why the evolution had a higher score is simply b because it is running android 2.2.

The jit compiler in 2.2 kills android 2.1 eclair.
Therefore the phone can run faster when doing tasks

I average in the low 30's and my best so far was 34.009.
Mine is rooted but still has stock everything. That was also after a hard reset, before it was 25-27 average.

The different processors score differently. TI OMAPs and Sammy's score lower than Qualcomm's processors, but we all know there's not a big a difference in power as those numbers would lead you to believe. We're working on something with this.

Plus, stock 2.2 with JIT and touchwiz gets around 14. Which is around what I scored when I was OC'ed to 1.6Ghz and no Touchwiz. Definitely notice it in the quadrant test (despite the number not showing much difference). Check out how quickly it goes through the quadrant now, despite the score only being a little higher.
