Took some photos on a hike around Bear Mountain in upstate NY.
Look really close. The Manhattan skyline is barely visible along the horizon.
The dog came along.
The flowers were blooming
Really "incredible" day.
We used MyTracks to track the whole thing. Nine miles around the mountain with a stop in a ghost town called Doodletown. The Doodletown cemetary was mostly in tact. I have pics of that too, but don't want to hog the thread.
Nice pics, cadence. That looks like a really nice area, I am a somewhat recent transplant to NYC from southeast Tennessee and those pics remind me of home (basically grew up in the mountains). I need to head up there one weekend! Thanks for the inspiration.
Nice pics, camera is doing amazing for me. Now if I would just remember to wipe off the lens before taking a picture so they don't look a bit hazy lol.
i am sure. It was the only camera I had with me for the trip. It did great. The only thing I could have used was more zoom, but I would need a really good camera to get the kinda zoom I am talking about. But yes, all of those (and about 400 more) were taken on my Incredible.
Gecko I found running around my server room (I'm in Michigan - we don't have native geckos!) its a Rough-tailed Gecko (Cyrtopodion scabrum) and he's living in an aquarium at my house now...
