Going to speculate with this. Until I find a card case with a magnet built in , I'll stick an adhesive magnet onto it. I have 10 of them in different sizes. I only use a mag car mount not a charger.

Are the phone's magnets strong enough to grip my accessories with a case on it, or do I still need a case with magnets?

I got the Pitaka case. It's the thinnest case I've found. Thankfully I generally almost never drop my phones. I wish they offered it colors besides black though.

I've wondered that as well since generally 99% of the population puts cases on their phones.
