if you disable the squeeze function, can you double tap the power button to open up the camera app?
U know if u really just want the camera to up and ready u can just open it and turn the screen off or just open it from the lockscreen but unless HTC did something new double tap power button won't do anything... Anyone with the phone already tried it?if you disable the squeeze function, can you double tap the power button to open up the camera app?

Lol doesn't every Android phone do this? HTC has been doing it since the m8 probably earlier, I thought it was just an Android feature?one cool feature i stumbled upon. double tapping the screen wakes it up. genius. i'm digging the pro mode for the camera. saves raw and jpeg for each picture. my battery lasts from morning to the next day. heavy use for pandora at work and minor stuff at home.

Just got my unlocked U11 in Canada and everything is gravy except mobile data won't connect - continually saying disconnected. I have done the network reset, factory reset, manual apn entry, network type toggling, etc - still no luck. Anyone have a clue on what's going on?

But I thought Samsung used qc 2.0 while HTC uses QC 3.0?Initial thoughts, coming from an S7 Edge:
The Good:
- Looks and feels great. The back is gorgeous.
- Fingerprint scanner is so much faster and fastest I've ever used.
- Very fast. Everything opens really quickly and very smooth to use.
- Camera has really been impressive so far.
- Sound is really good. Both from the phone and the included headphones.
- Battery is very promising so far. 3000mAh worried me but it seems to be very well optimised.
- Gestures are good, including edge sense. Very useful.
The Bad:
- Tiny bits of screen bleed (I think it is anyway, though maybe it's the opposite to what I have). Bottom left, slight dark patches when on a white screen, but very slight.
- The back and recents buttons are far too low down on the phone and the area you can press is too small. Makes it too much of a reach.
- The stock apps look awful. HTC need to re-design them as they look about 4 years out of date. The email and dialler on the Samsung are so much nicer.
- Charging doesn't seem as fast as the Samsung (both using their packaged chargers).
- Auto Brightness is a bit wonky indoors.
I think that's all. Overall I'm happy enough with it.

Lots of recent phones do the double tap/lift or some kind of gesture to wake screen. It's been like that for a year or two I think. LG started that with their knock knock feature if I remember correctly. In fact HTC still doesn't have the ambient/always on display feature, even G6 has that with LCD screen.Definitely not an Android thing (my old Samsung 7 didn't do it) but it has been standard in HTC phones since the M8. Don't think the M7 did it.
Oh ok, i thought I read Samsung uses the equivalent of QC 2.0 in their phones but call it something differentSamsung doesn't use any of the QC's does it? (it's the Exynos one I had).
Though yeah on paper the U11 should be faster, but I haven't found it to be. Expecially if I'm using it while it's charging.
