use a widget that you can change the color...
KWGT, Beautiful Widgets, Fancy Widgets... there are a ton out there

My new obsession. I will tweak the clock widget sometime during the week...
But my new obsession is customize wallpaper with embedded widgets. So I'm going to be working on those also.

I'm not sure I like the backgrounds or the color of the clock and I don't have a weather widget on there yet but here's a wallpaper with an embedded clock with two different backgrounds...

For right now. One thing I love about android is the ability to change the look constantly. Although, with my 10+ I'm trying more wallpaper/icon vs themes because I'm appreciating night mode. Also using Nova for the first time. I do not normally have more than one row on my home screen but since I can remove labels and keep them tight I'm not mad at it.

Wallpaper is in the theme store. Frustratingly hard to get you dialed to it, because the tile that displays doesn't bring it up I search. I got it for free and it's a nice crisp image.

Really nice. Is your "hello, saturday" widget linked to the calendar below it or a separate widget I could download?

Edit: Remembered I needed to play with KWGT. Found it and cropped the calendar bit out to keep the hello, weekday bit. Really cute little addition for now, but I'm tempted by a ton of their custom options.
