Have you ever been able to hike the White Mountains in NH? Absolutely beautiful especially in late Sept-early Oct with the fall colors. Even a drive to Franconia Notch or up Mount Washington or a drive along the Kancamagus Highway is spectacular.View attachment 355971

No, I've never been up there. My family and I are very much wimpy hikers, and prefer hikes that are flat and easy, but still scenic.Have you ever been able to hike the White Mountains in NH? Well, when you go to pick up your daughter, take a drive up the highway an hour north of Concord and without hiking at all, you can drive up to Franconia Notch or drive the Kancamagus Highway. Very scenic & beautiful. And you would think you were hiking without stepping foot out of the car, lol!No, I've never been up there. Great photos. I like the way you composed the last one.View attachment 355971

Thanks mate, appreciated. Gutted my daughter was working and only caught my wife and son. What a beautiful picture!
I can hear the Thus Sprach Zarathustra theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey playing in my head.
I think you're right! It'd be interesting to see what happens if an ant got caught in one of those pits ...Not ants. I think they're called antlions.
