Saw Beetlejuice in SF in December -- great show, with an amazing performance by the actress who played Lydia, Isabella Esler, a local San Jose talent fresh out of high school. If this touring cast hits your town, go see it!

FedEx got the brunt of the shipping on SWA baggage. I worked the VSA segment of our outbound sort - removing undelivered packages as well as all the pickups. The bags are not compatible with our overhead belt system so every one needed to be unloaded by hand and put on carts to be sent to other trailers to be reloaded and sent on their way. The whole SWA fiasco was a major pain for us as well.

Egad! Our family totally threaded the needle and was able to avoid any major flight problems over the Xmas holiday. I flew back from Hawaii on Xmas Day, and my wife and daughter flew back a couple of days later -- in between, there were plenty of flights that were delayed extensively or cancelled outright.
