So, over 6 months in, how's everyone liking their 7 Pro.

I have tried the S23U and Xiaomi 13 Pro recently. I also have a iPhone 13.

I'm doing my best to be a good boy, resisting the honor 5p and the oppo x6 p.

A recent hiking trip with my son made me realise that the pixel is still the most consistently great photo taker. It has its flaws for sure, but it's still the one I want in my pocket. I just wish Google would get more of the basics for 2023 right.

This month I have sold 2 pictures taken with it, had over 4k likes from another pixel picture on a photographer's social media page and been featured on Google's Instagram stories twice.

I love the camera on this thing!

It genuinely goes toe to toe with my DSLR kit in most ( but not all ) situations.

Absolutely love my 7 Pro. Everything works great, especially the camera (of course). Battery has been excellent -- usually goes from 100% to about 60% at the end of a typical day for me. Fingerprint sensor has been very reliable (which was also the case for my previous 6 Pro, so for some reason I never encounter the FPS problems that others seem to). Reception has also been fine, except in areas that are known T-Mobile black holes for any phone.

Never had an issue with the FPS on this or my 6pro.

The signal is definitely improved over the 6pro ( the main reason both mine went back ), but still lower than my other devices.

I don't really have a typical day as I mainly work in the field, but my battery is just about meh. Along with the slow charging, it's not good enough for 2023. It's the only real area I would wish improvements.

7 Pro has been a great performer. Camera is consistent and best in class capturing faces. )Just hate the occasionally flare from streetlamps and the sun). I have had the S23 Ultra and the Plus but they don't match this camera for colors and contrast or nightshots. I even prefer the 10x zoom on the Pixel over the Ultra. Battery has been fine but would like faster charging. 5x is excellent for filming concerts.

I am however a Sony kind of guy and are excited by the upcoming Xperia.

This giant book mural is on the parking garage next to the downtown library here. I had never been to that library, because I hate parking downtown. We went down there to take prom pictures, because it was pretty cold and windy outside. I used magic eraser to remove some people from the background, but it was not quite up to removing the people we were there with.

Someone shared that l this on FB yesterday so I grabbed it. It's a much better view of the parking garage (note the incorrect caption on the pic saying it's the library) than the pics I took, so I wanted to share it here.
