looks like it's sweeter home. I was wondering how that effects the performance. been using home++ and loving it. would like to try out sweeter home tho! how is it?

white_star is right, i'm running sweeter home. It's only in beta, but you can download it here - SweeterHome - Start - sweeterhome.com. I'm not rooted. Performance-wise I haven't experienced any issues. I'm not going to lie though, I have had it force close on me 2 or 3 times a day...but that's only when i'm in-n-out of editing my homescreen. If i'm not going back and forth changing up the homescreen layout, then it's pretty stable. There is somewhat of a learning curve and it can be kind of intimidating at first, but what is nice is that you can download other peoples themes that they have created. In the same token, you can also uploads one that you make. Glad you guys dig it cheers!

i would really love to try using metamorph or whatever its called but since i have never tried anything like that (hell i havent even rooted my droid yet haha) i'm prob gonna steer clear of it.

Most apps that are screenshot only require rooting, which is easy to do, but it may be too much work to get a screenshot. You can find them in the Market.

Your other option is to download an home replacement like Home++, which can do screenshots without rooting, but alters the appearance of your home screen.

for some reason when I use dxtop to take a screenshot it comes up with a black background???

I haven't used dxtop in awhile but when I did it always worked fine. Did you try a restart abd if that doesn't work uninstall it then try re downloading it.
