Generally, exchanging doesn't affect your contract start date, so you may not need to extend out, but Verizon doesn't have a pre-determined one-year contract price set for the Charge, so you might run into some trouble.

Thanks for the info. I thought I read somewhere that they will be keeping 1 year contracts open for certain account types. I could be wrong. I'll be there tomorrow so when I find out I'll post back!

My guy @ the local Verizon store called late last night to say that the launch is being delayed. Doesn't know when or anything, just knows its delayed.

Might be delayed due to the LTE network outage. Would be bad to launch a 4G phone that can't currently run 4G.

If you did an upgrade just return the tbolt and turn on an old phone till it launches. (They will reverse the contract making you eligible again.)

VZW is strict on the 14 day return policy too, I will be pretty bummed if my 14 day window passes and the phone comes out on day 15.
