Potential cases for Z3v

Since the Z3v on Verizon is official now I am concerned about availability of cases. I tend to drop my phone from time to time and need to have some form of protection on it just in case. This phone looks like the Z2 more than the Z3. Do you all think that it would be wise to shop for Z2 cases or would Z3 cases still work? Or would I be limited to what Verizon has to offer?

for me and a lot of other people here and on other site the Z3v looks like it's the Z2 but giving all the improvements from the Z3. i'll say what and see if the cases from the Z2 fit the Z3v.

Only has the improved processor from the Z3. Doesn't have the improved design, brighter and more efficient display, and new camera lens from the Z3.

I thought it has the new display as well as camera lens, just slightly lower ISO.

Actually, looks like display is still up in the air, but according to whitepapers people are digging through over at XDA, it definitely has the old camera from the Z2.

Any updates regarding how z2 cases fit on the z3v? I ordered one for my brother in law, but definitely want a case that isn't from verizon.

They don't fit. Phones are different dimensions. Z2 is 146.8mm x 73.3mm x 8.2mm while z3v is 148.5mm x 73.4mm x 8.9mm
