So for some reason my nexus went from 60% charged to dead in less than 20 minutes last night. Hoping it was because it was still on the original factory charge. Gave it a proper charge last night so will see how it is today

I had the same thing happens my first charge. Went from 38 to 0. I charged it full the next time and never did it again. I think the battery needs to be calibrated the first time out. I talked to another guy that it also happened to and he said never happened to him again either

I have discharged and charged it 20 times at least since and not an issue. I run it down to 8-15% before charging.

Glade to hear that. I was worried also but it seems to be a first time battery calibration thing. I was going to tell you to charge it full the first time and regret not saying it now.

Oh that's fine don't worry about that! I just thought I'd been sold a faulty one and would have to return it! All is good now though and it's a great tablet thanks for all your help

The nexus 10 has not been replaced because it still has the highest res screen and the cpu/gpu are fast enough for the apps that are out there; including 1080p video. The new Galaxy Pro series from Samsung have better specs but the 12.2 tablets are very costly. The 10.1 might be better than the nexus 10 though.
