Power Amp issue.

Anybody using power amp as their music player. I'm have a problem. In the music player app, there is a folder entitled "unknown artist" with 600+ songs in it that won't play. If I go to the "My Files" location and find them they are named correctly and play just fine. If I delete the folder from the music player, it just keeps re-populating in the player. Anyone seen this or know anything. Thanks.

That's weird. I use Power Amp on my SGP and haven't seen that random folder show up.

Did you tag them as well as name them? If not they show up as unknown in many players.

What happens when you try to play them when they show up in the player?

I always start poweramp from a file folder of what I want to hear. I'm not very used to it yet and it will often play something I didn't actively choose like a podcast or the last folder of songs I used it on. This happens when I use headphones. I'm not sure how to fix the settings.

Thank you all for the responses. I have tried to play them from poweramp in the "unknown" folder and it won't. Also tried to rename, with no luck. Just for grins, I downloaded Rocket player, and the "unknown" folder was there, but with only 45 songs. Unfortunately, when I bluetooth to my Harley, the song title and artist info will not display on my screen with this player, so I went back to Poweramp. Generally I use the widget straight to poweramp to open and play. In my files, that unknown folder doesn't exist.

Would it help if you copied that folder to a different location and then deleted the first folder? Just wondering.

I was having this issue as well. Completely randomly albums would end up in the unknown folder when rebooting the phone. Yesterday I erased my 64gb sdcard, went through my music collection and copied what I wanted to have on the phone to a temp folder, then went through each album with mp3tag/ to make sure the tags and album art were correct. Going on the advice in this thread: [Q] exFAT file system on microSD cards I also reformatted my sdcard to FAT32 before copying the music back onto it. No unknown albums at all. *fingers crossed*

Thank you. May have to do that. I've got close to 7000 songs on the card. I'm going to have to wait for a day I'm really bored.
