Power Beats ControlTalk Does Not Work

Hi,

It seems that the ControlTalk function on the PowerBeats headphones don't work with HTC One. In other words, you can't adjust the volume or skip to the next or previous track consistently with the headphone controls. How is this possible? HTC owns 25% of Beats, and the One's branding is heavily intertwined with Beats'. How could they screw up a key feature of the headphones??

Has anyone found a fix?

Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing as I've recently bought a pair of Studio Beats.

To my knowledge, monster products are made to work with the iPhone as it says on the box. As far as android support.. ehh good luck?

Beats audio is only designed to work with the IPhone however there is a pair called urbeats that where specifically made to work with htc phones.

Thanks for the info SenseMonkey. However, I specifically bought the PowerBeats because they stay on my ear at the gym.

I also saw that there's a version of the Solo Beats made for HTC, and I suppose those would also technically stay on my ear at the gym. But I've always thought that people that wear those to the gym look obnoxious.

I feel ya there. I'd rather use some kind of ear buds for the gym lol.

hi sorry beats dont work on android if you have the solo or studio headphones you have to purchase another audio cable it will not affect the audio quality in any way as for the non removable cable ones well the problem is in the hardware the controls are not designed for android the only way to make them compatible would be by a mod via hardware not software. i did it my self with my power beats i just replace the control talk with one from a compatible earphones from samsung ( they are universal ) its not that hard. all you need is a steady hand while soldering the components. im no genius and now i enjoy my beats whit iphone android whatever!! message me if you wan to do it your self i have detail pictures on how to do it and might do a thread later on .. maybe
