Power-button on my "A7 2018" (a.k.a. SM-A750F/DS) has lost it springiness and can't turn phone on.

My A7's problem is the current absence of that springiness of the power button; that feel of it clicking when you press it, followed by the springiness of the button unclicking as you release it. I had difficulty opening the inner cover of my A7 (two screws refused to come loose). In the process of trying to gently pry the inner covers (the blue one and the lower black one over the charging port area) my A7 started accepting power via the charging port. This leaves me with just the faulty power button spring (somehow I'm convinced that the power button itself is still okay but I'm not sure about that as it is also a common problem on this model of phone) that lost its springiness.
