Power button problem on Kyocera Duraforce Pro 2 after Android 9 update.

Since update of Android 9 on my Kyocera Duraforce Pro 2, the power button brings up the panel for 3 function: Power Off, Restart, and Screenshot and it's grayed out almost unreadable. On the Verizon site it shows this panel has 4 functions after the update. Everything else seems to be working fine as far as I can tell.

Welcome to Android Central! What's the missing 4th function? Is the Verizon site you're talking about specifically for that phone?

Yes the Verizon site is specifically for my phone. Before the update, I would press the power button and a panel with 3 functions come up. It still comes up but is shaded dark. There is supposed to be 4 functions after the update -- the 4th is Lockdown.

No. The system cache partition only holds temporary data. No personal data or settings will be erased.

I followed the instructions but it just took a screenshot and asked if it should save, delete, etc. The Kyocera logo didn't come up. I shut down and restarted 3 times and still only get the screenshot. The panel is still grayed out.
I noted that the Recovery Mode instructions are for Android 8.1. Could that be why this doesn't work for me?

Did you power off first? Pressing Power and Vol Down at the same time while the phone is on will take a screenshot. You have to power off completely first, then power on by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down together.

Thank you..I did not have it powered down.

I did that now 3 times and it just starts the phone normally. I did get a message that says "No SIM Card found - searching for service," but then it disappears and starts normally. There is no Recovery Mode screen.

Ok, and do you get the 4 options for the Power button now?

No, there are no options. The Kyocera logo appears then it starts normally.

No, I mean when the phone is on, and you press the Power button for about a second. Do you get 4 power-off options, or still only 3?

I think I misunderstood your last question. The 4 options do not show up, and the panel for these is still grayed out.

I'd contact Verizon support about this. Maybe the update is buggy.
