Power button slightly loose, wiggle on my S3

The power button on my brand new s3 seems a bit loose and has a wiggle when I touch it. I am concerned about this because its a brand new ?400+ phone. There is a click, it works and it doesn't get stuck but the volume buttons on the other side seem more rigid than the power button. Is this normal?

Mine too. I noticed it after I had to remove it from it's otterbox protector when I went in for a new extended life battery and the phone no longer fit. I have not noticed any problems as a result (knock on wood), so I think we are doing okay.

Mine is. It's a very common S3 thing I believe. Get a case. My case helped a lot..I don't realize it at all anymore.. it's very clicky and lively.

Same here. I think this is not a problem. I have a case that goes over the buttons so I didn't even notice this until I came across your post.
