I've read up a lot on task killers and have decided to stay away from them but i do keep a task manager around just to check up on whats going on, but my concern was about power profiles and juice defenders, do they have the same effect or would it be worth downloading one?

And do you recommend any of them specifically?
I work mostly on the road so i switch between 4g, wifi, and gps when i know i'm in the area so i was wondering if it would benefit me more if i could get an app that did that for me instead of doing it manually, or if it would cause more problems or battery drain.

Thank you.

I came across this post while searching "power profiles" because I had an idea and wanted to know if something similar exist...

Instead of these automatic apps like you're talking about... is there/will there be and app where all of the popular settings can be saved into profiles ? Something that would offer one button push to change form all the settings you turn on/off depending on how much time you need away from a charger. It would be cool to create a power save, balance, performance etc. that can be switched to with one button

Try Setting Profiles. Been using the full version for about a month, love it.
