There is no Power Saving Mode selection as per the guide.

Options can sometimes differ between carrier versions of the same phone. Which carrier do you have? Can you find the manual for your particular phone?

There are some ok apps that will do this for you.

The main power consumer is the screen and online updates (e.g. mail) though. It is pretty easy to reduce power consumption yourself by setting the screen intensity lower and reducing the update frequency of apps...
