Powering Down

Hello I shut down my Note 2 ever night. I was just wondering if it is bad for the device ? If so why !

I don't see why you need to. I dont shut mine down but I use the alarm. Only occasionally I reboot it. Does it good like a pc..

I actually heard from a reliable source that you should shut your phone down for at least an hour or so once a week. He said it had to do with how the tower communicates with your phone.
