Hi,

Jut got my sensation today and before I turned on my phone or anything I first took out the 8gb micro sd card and put in my 32gb sd card. I wanted to use the 8gb sd card for my son's device instead and I would have to format it in his device and erase everything off of it. Does the 8gb sd card have anything on it that I would need for my sensation? or is it ok to format it and use that 8gb card for another device? I tried to see if their was anything on the sd card but my computer is not even recognizing it (window 7). I don't feel like messing with my computer now, I just wanted to know if I would need any info on my 8gb micro sd card to use with my sensation, thank you.

Nope, you're good to go. When I got my Sensation, before even turning it on, I swapped the card with my previous one that I had in the myTouch4G (I had most of my apps installed on that card).

Ok, cool :) thanks so much for your reply!

On the stock card packaged with the phone, there are some data files for some of the preloaded apps. the Data files for NOVA for one. Other misc folders on there as well (including some demo trailers for HTC watch) but if you're not the least bit interested in playing games on your phone, the NOVA data files are no biggie.

It's odd that your PC wouldn't reconize it as it's formatted as a FAT32 volume. It may be a simple driver issue.

I had a 16GB Class 10 card I wanted to use so I copied the contents from the 8GB card to my 16, added some tunes and a movie. Plenty of room left over but eventually I would like to get a 32GB Class 10 when the price on those fall a bit.

Enjoy!:)

When I first opened Nova (after I swapped the card) it said that the game needs more data to work correctly and it asked me if I want to update. I said yes and it downloaded the files, the game is working flawlessly.

Ahhh...

My last phone (the MT4G) had a ton of files that had no way to recover unless you had someone post them. Rock Band is one good example. Must have just been an EA thing.

Enjoy the Senny! I'm liking mine more and more every day. :-)
