I put my pre-order in at 7 am eastern, and got my confirmation email. I don't know when it will ship but I hope it ships to arrive on the 17th. I would hate to not have it for the weekend..

There's a tiny link on the order page that will show you the ETA of your order. The first possible date shown is June 17, so I think that's a good sign.

I just talked to my local store and they are not accepting pre-orders right now. They still show it as coming soon. They said my only option for pre-ordering is to do it online and then pay and wait for shipping.

I couldn't stand it any longer. I just pre-ordered mine, the metallic gray 32gb. Hopefully it will arrive on the 17th!!
