I'm in the UK and the incentives right now to pre order are Samsung UK will buy your old phone if it's in their eligibility list for a paltry sum.

I need to move to Australia. ;)

Samsung Australia are giving...

"Pre-order Galaxy Note 9Get the Galaxy Note 9 512GB for our advertised price of the 128GB. Offer ends 23 August 2018."

tmobile here is offering a great deal. Trade in a samsung phone and get up to $500. that includes the S7, I can buy them in good shape for $150. But I don't get how it's worth the same for a trade in as a Note 8 or S9.
Not a lot of other good deals though it's tempting.

Hi Dooki

I'm being offered £200 For my Samsung Galaxy s8 phone which is poor.

I can easily get £350 by selling it to a Highstreet Store that buys phones.

Other countries are being offered various wireless earphones and headphones.

I get that offers would be different in countries but this is just so unbalanced.

As my local Samsung Experience Store always has stock I find no benefit in the UK to Pre Order so even though I've had hands on with the Note 9 and it's awesome I'll wait and watch.

Singapore is getting this too

I got £320 for S7 in carphone warehouse, which is OK, plus wireless charger, was hoping for a miracle like the rumoured free s3 watch ha ha

It's on contract, I am upgrading on O2, normally £349 up front, but with trade in its costing me £29 up front, traded my wife's s7 as she is having my note8

Not sure if it's only on O2, but had a feeling carphone warehouse are giving extra £200 trade in on selected Samsung phones

I was actually going to give up my Note 4 work phone for this deal. Since I didn't qualify for the $81 down yet, I was advise to wait a few weeks. When I asked when the trade-in offer will end, they said they didn't know for sure. It can end at any time. So, I am missing out on more than the free headphones now. I wasn't even excited about the headphones.

But you receive it in the form of 24 monthly credits. So if you only keep your phone for a year before upgrading again, you end up receiving only half of the trade-in credit. Or if you switch carriers, you likewise stop receiving the monthly credits, so it's like being tied to a contract again.

Well, you only get the $500 total if you hold onto the phone for 24 months.

But still half that for one year until the 10, is a decent deal. You're saving $100 over that year (that's minus your s7 price). I'm waiting to see if the down payment will go down. The other incentives don't interest me.

I should read all the posts. I said the same thing but added a few things.

yeah. I read that later. it wasn't in the first add TMobile posted. I think I'm gonna skip, save up the cash and see what happens next year.

I wonder if you can just pay the balance and they will give you all the bill credits at once and go a few months without paying the monthly bill.

What happened to the 'Value Pack' that was circulating the internet pre launch?
Apparently a leak source mentioned these were coming with the phone in some areas, albeit the AKG earphones were slightly lower spec.

I only have one experience with a crappy phone I paid off early, I received all the bill credits for the whole 2 years even though most of the time the phone wasn't active on a line. Can't guarantee you would have the same results.

You'd probably have to pay off the full price, not the discounted price, since the tmobile incentive is separated into billing statements. It says "finance agreement required", so it sounds like you can't pay it off at the discount price and you might be required to pay the full amount of back discounts.

From looking at other retail outlets in the UK it's mostly just a trade in of your current phone right now.

Some don't even list my s8 as an eligible model !
Go figure.

Here's hoping after pre orders have ended and launch happens on the 24th more offers will begin.

Then it's the choice between the 128gb and 512gb as the difference in Ram has caught my attention too.
