Pre order online only??

I just got off the phone with customer service. We went through the entire order process, but when we tried to finalize it, it wouldn't go through because of the pre-order. He wasn't sure why and I got transferred to someone else. When I asked her, she said she thought it was because I could only do it online. He did tell me they were in stock and would be delivered on the 28th.

I would do it online, but my contract isn't up until the 30th. The first rep got the upgrade date to be moved a day.. Yes, its only a day, but then with shipping and the weekend, I wouldn't actually get it until Monday...THE HORROR!!! He gave me the sales staff number, but have to leave for a dinner appointment, but the "suspense" of knowing this is killing me.

Anyway, anyone else ever hear of this? For all of those who pre-ordered, did you all do it online or anyone call in for it?
 
online and no issues. mine actually has been picked up by fedex too. You should be able to complete the order via phone just the same. I would call back and try again later. You have plenty of time still
 
I ordered thru CS. Got the same price / shipping as online. But my contract was up 2 months ago. Still waiting for confirmation.
 
I figured I would be able to call in and do it. I just didn't want to have to wait on hold for 15 minutes if I didn't have to. I will try "sales" over customer service....and keep my fingers crossed.

I guess if I have to wait an extra day, I will just wait..man, that's going to suck :)
 
More Weirdness

OK, another weird thing that happened.

I just called sales, and this is what I was told.

He said that the phone is coming out on the 29th, and therefore will ship on the 29th, letting me get it on the 30th. He would call on Wednesday at 7pm (the 28th) to get payment info for it and ship the 29th.

I said that is it available on the 29th and that I should have gotten it the 29th, not the 30th. Seems to be quite odd that they would also call me back on the 28th to take payment instead of doing it right now...

Is this normal or is something wonky going on?? I think I might have to call customer service later and hopefully talk to someone else to get it straightened out. :)
 
I'd just call back and see if they'll move the date back to todays date so you can pre-order online. Surely they'll do that.

Edited to say: The reason I say this is because my upgrade date was the 28th and I literally just got off the phone with customer service and they just moved my date back to the 26th so I could pre-order online w/ the discount.

Well, after about 4 different calls (I just kept calling until someone was willing and able to do what I wanted), I finally got them to move my upgrade date back to today. First thing this morning, I ordered one up. WOOOHOOO....Now I get to play the impatient game and check the order status every 15 minutes to see what is going on with it. Let the fun begin....
