When do you think the one x will be getting the update for jelly bean? Will it be before 2013, sometime in the 4th quarter or later? I can't wait for it!

Since we just got 4.0.4 that puts us about 4 or 5 months behind when it was released (correct me if I'm wrong). I'd say Q4 of this year or Q1 of next year, especially since it isn't a huge update in terms of software overhaul. I'm gonna be interested in how they're going to incorporate Google now in the one x, long press the home button maybe?

Nobody knows, including HTC and AT&T. They can guess, but tweaking Sense and hardware drivers to work with the new version of the os can take a long time or short time. Depends on how many issues and bugs they run into.

I'd prefer they take their time and get it right.

im actually surprised with AT&T and the frequency they are pushing out updates to the One X. Before the recent update we were 2 updates away from Jelly Bean. now the 4.0.4 is out all that's left IS Jelly Bean. Crossing my fingers that AT&T keeps up this momentum and updates the One X by the end of the year, or at least before the next version of Android is out..

From what I'm reading, its NOT a huge update from ICS to JB. All the APIs that were there are still there, and most of the time a simple recompile gets you out the door.
Where did you get this information?

I think we will see it sooner than others. With htc lagging behind Samsung, and others this will be a huge win for them.

To be honest I have no idea but more than likely on xda, I do a lot of forum reading over there lol. Sorry if it's an inconvenience.
