Walmart/Sam's Club had the EVO 4G on the official Sprint launch date of 6-4-10. in other words, there was no delay.

hence - one could deduce that 4-22-12 is the official launch date.

Thinking on it makes the 22nd a little more plausible.
Per the Official Rules on the DataStorm game, it says they will draw the winners "on or about April 16th" so the 15th seemed a lttle premature.
The 22nd is also a Sunday, which Sprint seems to favor, as release days so that is OK with me.
I guess the only thing to say is Stay Tuned.

Just fyi.. that's walmart channel launch date. Most of our phones actually drop far later then the actual corp release date. So that April 15th date for sprint / online still could be true. Just wait for sprint.

OK. I have to admit it. I am waffling. Please help.

I keep seeing info on the upcoming Galaxy S3 AND the HTC One X and I am not sure if I should hold off on the GN and wait for one of those.
I guess the first question is if they both are coming to Sprint.
If yes, I will be really torn.

I see articles like this and it does not make it any easier.

Galaxy nexus will be my choice as an android fan. If you want hardware, wait for the S3 or whatever HTC phone is being announced. Nexus brand is rarely the best hardware available, but definitely reliable and I prefer vanilla android to sense, touchwiz, and other overlays.

At the very least wait until specs are announced in the case of the GSIII. But it comes down to do you want good specs or pure google? If you want pure google, get the nexus, if on the other hand you don't care about the software because you plan on installing a custom launcher, flashing a few roms, or what not, then wait until the specs for the GSIII are released and decide based on what fits your needs. That is what I'm doing.

I wouldn't put too much stock in that release sheet. Not saying it's wrong, but I could print one up myself saying it releases tomorrow, snap a pic, and post in the interwebs. There are "inventory lists" saying the "nexus prime" (remember when it was called that?) would be released on sprint soon before the phone was even officially launched. We'll know in a couple days, don't fret, it won't sneak past you.

Sprint's Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be my next phone.
I want the Google experience.

Pardon my technical weirdness, but what is "Touchwiz" and HTC's "Sense"?
