Is there a way to enable predictive emoji? For example ylu type lol it put the emoji to sekect

An emoji is a sequence of letters that the device interprets as a picture - like the emoji this site interprets as a smiling Andy - : and ), looking like :). But there's no correspondence between lol and a colon/paren pair, so unless a keyboard was written specifically to interpret text as emojis, I don't think you're going to be able to do it with any kind of predictive keyboard.
@bassplayrguy, I've been using Swiftkey for years, and never had it suggest a smiley for things like lol. How do you do it?

Pull up the keyboard and hit the settings button above the keyboard. View attachment 290989
