Preorders starting tomorrow? (Nov 29th)

Most devices are announced on a Sunday and launched on a Thursday, only a few high profile devices are released on other days of the week. A few MEH devices are announced and launched on the same day (Droid 3 for example) but I have a hard time believing the Nexus is that irrelevant to them. While the device is a big deal to all of us, it's not a mass market appeal device, but it's still an exclusive for them and that has to be worth some marketing.

droid 3 wasn't launched same day. preorders were taken and then the next day they were announced. Verizon usually announces new devices on a tues for a thur preorder and then available about a week later. Plus verizon isn't going to do much marketing...

Same difference the devices were almost definitely shipped the next day except the very few who got wind of it and ordered early. Press releases are usually Sunday evening Monday morning with yes a Thursday release from what I have seen at least recently

Not much marketing but definitely SOME It's not like RAZR, Rezound, Thunderbolt, Buonic, etc but I cant see them paying for an exclusive and then having it just appear with no fanfare at all.

And can we stop citing past behaviors when it comes to launches as some sort of an indication on how this phone will be launched? If we've learned anything with the Nexus it's that all bets are off when it comes to predicting how/when this thing is coming out.

Good catch. At the rate this whacky nexus non release is going who knows. We're coming up on December and even the semi solid rumor of the 8th is starting to sound shaky.

I don't think Verizon is going to issue an apology. In their eyes and words they've done nothing wrong. Maybe Samsung should issue an apology for saying we will have the phone in November when apparently it's not their decision when we will have the phone

EDIT: I just reread your comment. If they only announce it in December and don't release it then yes, I think they might owe an apology. I still don't think we'll get one

Except this seems to be pretty much exactly how the Thunderbolt/bionic launches went; countless unofficial release dates that keep getting "delayed."

To the more recent comments: The phone has already been announced by Verizon officially, just with no release date, but they said that it would release by the end of the year.
