I've been thinking of a way to reduce burn in. I had it on the note 8.

I thought about getting rid of the notification bar by going full immersive mode on all apps and stretching each app to full screen mood.

I reduced the transparency of the edge panel 0% and gesture based navigation.

Also I have dark mode enabled sunset sunrise
Thoughts?

How long on your note 8 did the burn in occur?

Do you use the screen on static image for long periods of time ? Like for GPS?

Touch wood I've not had burn in but feel for those that have.

I use gestures anyway and my AOD is set to tap to display as I just prefer it that way.

I've not looked at hiding the top status bar to be honest but I'm sure interested to lessen what's shown there.

I suppose I'd have to look at something like Goodlock ?

That's how I got (minor) burn-in on my Note 8 a few years ago--hours at a time running Google Maps navigation with the phone mounted on a bright windshield. Since then, I keep the display turned off during navigation except when I need to see it.

There is something called. "system ui" that can help remove icon there https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bryancandi.android.uituner
