So, I haven't waited until after release for a phone in a while. I am due a new one. I am coming from a Nexus 6P. I have had Note 3 and Note 4. Loved both of them. Removable battery was one thing I enjoyed.

I was planning on the LG V30. Wondered if the Note 8 would come down in price soon after the freebies go away. I did get my hands on one at a best buy Samsung counter. With all the demo crap on it, I'm sure what I would have in hand would be better.

I'm in the same boat. I've been waiting for the V30 as well. All this extra time that it doesn't release gives me more time to play with the Note 8.

I'm on Sprint and their price is $999. Wouldn't mind seeing that come down a bit.

I would buy it out right. I don't want the bloatware Verizon puts on it, and the unlocked price is lower from Samsung than Verizon

Don't know if the price will come down but I pre-ordered thru best buy on sprint and they gave 200 off so my with an eligible upgrade

You don't need a price drop when most have a trade in deal that's more then what the trade in phone is worth. samsung will give you $300 off on most 3 year old phones the price won't get any cheaper no time soon .

I never used a trade in because I bought mine from T-Mobile. Their trade in values were way too low. For my S7 Edge, they wanted to pay about $141. Even now with my Note 8 being used when I check their website, it automatically lists my Note 8 as eligible and they want to pay out $459 for it.

I would have ordered from Samsung but I didn't know when I would get it on preorder so I just walked into T-Mobile on launch day and got mine.

The best deal was the trade in and former note 7 owners discount. I don't see that much of a price drop until next year.

I got 486 off when I pre ordered through Best Buy. $150 from Best Buy and $336 from Verizon on my V20 trade in.
