Price drop due to recall?

It would be nice if they included something in the new phones as a Bonus.
But if I can get a new phone with a Good battery. And the color I want which is Silver.
I would be happy.

Include something in the new phones as a bonus? Like a smiley sticker on the battery?

Samsung needs to turn around phones quick in the recall so there will be no time to reengineer the phone.

I'm due for an upgrade in October and was all-in on the N7, thinking ok it will be 30-45 days past the release, should be able to get one no problem. With the recall I"m wondering if I'll even be able to get one or if they'll be backlogged from the recall. Figure by mid-October the backlog should be over, shouldn't it?

I'm on an old 2 year unlimited plan that I plan on keeping (it's cheaper than anything they're offering) so I'll have to call Sprint to order direct versus stop at a store/order online/3rd party retailer.

I have a friend in the same situation and he's going to take his chances and upgrade in October. I'm sure Samsung is aware of the demand and will make sure they keep producing the phones out to the retailers.

I'm not sure if the price will come down at all. The Note 5 wasn't a great seller at all. I got a 2nd one the other day. The price is still the same at T-Mobile as release day.

Yeah I'm sure Samsung will offer discounts on the Note around the holidays. Probably $100, as others have mentioned.

As far as being overpriced. I agree and disagree. Top of the line electronics are always going to command a hefty price. But there are now alternatives that are almost as good and sometimes even better. Even within the same brand. Apple and Samsung have earned their place at the top, so they command what people are willing to pay. It's just how the free market works.

Regarding this. If one would return the device, then lets say 3 weeks later they go on sale and they're offering free watch or SD card, can we double dip and get another one or do you think Samsung will look at their records and see you ordered the Note 7 the first time and already have the gift?

I'd guess if you were paying for a second device outright you could double dip. Carriers would probably put the most restrictions on as they want line activations.

Just a guess on my part.
