Same, although I'm not too affected as 16GB has been fulfilling my needs just fine. :D

So take/send it back, surely you're within a return period? For those who have had theirs longer, welcome to the world of electronics buyer's remorse that sets in 1-2 months after almost any electronics purchase. They ALWAYS come out with something better, faster, cheaper. That's life, suck it up! lol If a new device meets your needs better, sell the old one & buy the new one. It's that easy.

Since it's a pre-order on Staples Advantage, there could be several things going on.

First, Staples might be offering promotional pricing to their Advantage customers, who are generally on larger business accounts. If (probably when) the 32GB model becomes available, it might cost more for Joe Consumer.

Second, this may represent a newer pricing model for the Nexus. Since a few months have passed, it's possible that Asus' material costs have lowered, so the 8GB might get knocked down a few bucks, the 16GB might get knocked down a few bucks more, and the 32GB might truly be a $250 device in the new pricing model.

Third, I don't have access to Staples Advantage, and this is only coming from one outlet and is being rebroadcast a lot. A grainy screenshot does not absolute proof make. This may be completely bogus. Probably not, since reports from across the pond show Car Warehouse doing the same thing in Britain, but you never know until El Goog makes their big announcement.

I'm going to take a stab and trust the evidence, and theorize that either the 8GB or the 16GB model is going to go the way of the Dodo. The other will become the "introductory" model priced at $200, maybe a touch less. The new "premium" model will be the 32GB, and it will go for about $250. Those price points have been a tremendous success for Google, but they don't want to get too official until replacement units get staged out, because they don't want everyone to suddenly stop buying units and wait for the next one.

But I'm already happy with my 16GB one, and since I bought it fairly early I've had a good time enjoying it. I could have waited and saved money, because such is the way of electronics. You always save money when you wait. But if you wait long enough that nothing newer/faster/cheaper/shinier might be right around the corner, you'll always be waiting.

Totally agree with Nate on this and I think the direction he mentions is likely the one about to be traveled. Can't wait for the official announcements.

If true, then maybe Google is preparing to outdo the iPad mini as it comes out of the starting gate in the memory/price. But I have no regrets having bought two 16Gb N7s, the first one two months ago, and the other a month later. While others may have held off, I've been enjoying...:-)

Re: 32GB Nexus 7 for than a 16GB N7?

According to AndroidAuthority, there is speculation that the 32GB will come out Nov. 5th. I'm ready to pull the trigger, but I am waiting to see if they will have deals on the 16GB or if the 32GB is going to be the same as the 16. Part of me wants to pick a 16gb from a retailer and return it when the 32gb comes out. That would be wrong, would it?
