Prime keyboard dock incompatibility?

So the gdgt review says that the Transformer Prime dock can be used for the 700 but the official specs page for the 700 on ASUS's website says this: "The Transformer Pad Infinity mobile dock is compatible with the Eee Pad Transformer Prime. (The Eee Pad Transformer Prime mobile dock is NOT compatible with the Transformer Pad Infinity."

So the Prime works on the new dock that they are selling for the 700, but the Prime dock won't work on the 700? Ugh.

I'm assuming the 300 dock and the 700 dock are exactly the same?

The Infinity and 300 docks don't work with any other tablet. The Prime dock works with the Infinity, but not the 300. So if you get the Infinity, you can use the Prime or Infinity dock.

Ugh... that totally goes against what it says on the ASUS site. :I Errg.

The Prime dock is $110 or so on Amazon right now and you know that the Infinity dock will be the standard $149... there a huge difference between the two to warrant shelling out the extra $30?

I think reviews said they were the same basically. I just ordered a prime dock for my infinity and I'm banking on it working.

I just read about how the trackpad is a little better, but the main difference I've seen is the battery size. I'm not sure, I'll have to wait until more people have the Infinity dock.

Looking at the ASUS website, the Prime dock has a slightly higher rated battery... but yah, it looks like it's the same dock basically.

For $40 less, I'll take the Prime dock. I use a small network mouse anyways when I had an OG Transformer+dock.

I think there's some other stuff that's different...but I haven't found out what yet.

This convinced me to hold off on the dock to make a more educated decision. I don't really need it right now and if the infinity dock is better I would rather wait.

I'm waiting on the dock too. I don't have the money myself, my mom's the one who offered to get it as a graduation gift (albeit, a little bit after graduation).

i got the Prime dock for my TF700 and it fits perfect and worked out of the box as it came with the latest firmware. Worth the $50 savings for sure.

I'm thinking I'm going to pick it up at Best Buy when I get back home on Friday. I don't exactly have the $100 on me right now unless I don't want to eat for the next few days lol.
