AC Question

I am trying to set up my S7 to connect to my printer. I am doing fine until in the process of trying to print a memo note I am shown a BLANK recent screen. How do I get documents into the recent screen?

Welcome to Android Central! Are you using Google Cloud Print, Samsung Print, or some printer company's app like the HP Print Service Plugin?

That app doesn't gets pretty mediocre reviews in Google Play. Have you tried using Google Cloud Print instead?

I do not like using cloud processes as I have very limited and expensive data usage. My printing needs are very light and it would seem that I just need to be able to get recent inputs from my "MEMO" folder (or app) into a "recent" file or folder. A blank RECENT folder comes up in the process of trying to print something and I can find nothing in the Manual about a RECENT folder and what it is supposed to contain!!!
Thank you for trying to help me and I hope the above makes sense to you

Unfortunately, I don't have direct experience with the Fuji Xerox app (or their printers), so I'm not sure if it's an issue with the app or with the printer interface. Do other documents print fine through the app? It might be fruitless, but try emailing the app developer: printutil_apps@fujixerox.co.jp

Thanks for that. I will contact the app developer. In the meantime is there a RECENT file/folder in the S7 and if so where do I find it and what does it display??

You must be a lucky satellite internet user. I feel your pain! 10GB/month for $64 and a TOP download speed of 10mbps. The trade off is seeing the stars at night, no pollution, horses and cows for neighbors and fishing pond behind the house :)
Sorry I have nothing to add as far as help. I have an HP officejet that receives printing jobs from my phone.

The document has to be shown in an app that can handle that type of document - a word processor, a spreadsheet, whatever it is. Open the app and you should be able to open recent documents of its type. Create a folder and name it "Memo", then save all your work there instead of the default location.

As far as not printing through the cloud, a) you can use wifi and b) almost ALL printer apps use the cloud. You can't have an app small enough to fit into a phone and have all the printer drivers in it. The ONLY ways to do it are through the cloud or a single app for every model of every printer (which no company is going to pay for developing). I've never used the Fuji app, but it probably also uses an internet connection (which is what "the cloud" means).

Cloud Print is probably the easiest to set up and to use (just share the document to Cloud Print and it prints).

Monicakm - I have about the same situation as yours (except the horses and cows are a couple of miles away), but I can see every star of visible magnitude that my eyes will resolve, blue (not grey) skies, the only "pollution" is when I'm pouring gasoline (dishing is 10 minutes away) and I live in AT&T country in the middle of what's considered a decent sized city in these parts. (Back in NYC, where I come from, it would be considered a large neighborhood.)

OP Try a screenshot of the note and print the screen shot.
