On vacation in Italy, surrounded by iPhones everywhere, taking pictures. The iPhone camera displays are so clear, and readable, and you can see the photo you are taking in the display. They are bright. My Pixel Camera display is so dark it is hard to see what photo your are taking, and the display is cloudy, not clear and crisp. Pixel camera's suck! When is Google going to do something about their cameras? Also taking video, my video gets cut short, and not great. iPhone videos are spectacular.

Comparing pictures taken iPhone vs Pixel, iPhone wins big. I will not buy another Pixel until Google fixes their cameras.

There must be something wrong with your camera module or the glass overlying the lens. All of my PIxel phones have had phenomenal cameras, and many of my iPhone aficionados often point out how much better my photos are compared to theirs.

Or are you only talking about the viewfinder image when you're trying to set up the shot? Older Pixel phones admittedly don't have quite as good brightness in direct sunlight as other phones (although it's significantly better with the Pixel 9 line). But this would not be an issue with the camera itself, but rather with the screen brightness.

How many hours a day do you use your phone and at what brightness? You might have burned out the panel if you're running full brightness every day most of the day.

As for the camera, you either like it or you don't. I'm team Samsung for the brute camera hardware over excessive processing the Pixel has. The trade-off is Pixel is more point and shoot and get great results, Samsung takes good pictures but takes amazing pictures with manual shots like with Pro Mode and Expert Raw.
