Printing?

My father and law just got a new galaxy tab 2 10.1 for fathers day. I am trying to print documents with a canon pixma mp495. I have the printer connected top wi-fi(I can print from a computer) and the tablet as well but I do not see the printer on the tablet. I tried the pixma printing app and it somewhat works but is very complex(My father in law is almost 50). I want to print just documents without having to convert them to pictures like the pixma printing app. Is there anyway to do this. I think it is android 4.1.

Android 4.2.x and newer as spent more efforts focusing on breaking the barriers with printers. Its getting better, its still not without its problems but between WIFI connecting and using Cloud Printing services its getting much better.

I'm not exactly positive what the most current version is for the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, in terms of the OS but check under Settings/About Tablet and there should be an option for Check for Updates and make sure the OS is up to date.

Have you tried the "share" option from the document menu? Looks like a <. That gives me the option to e-mail, send to Dropbox and print to the various printers that are setup with my Tablet. "Share" depends on what you have linked to your tablet and associated gmail account
