Priority calls not coming through

I have the Pixel XL ..I have Do not disturb set during two times 1pm to 1100pm while I am at work and from 11pm to 7am when I get up.

2 things, one I have to physically turn off the DND at the top of my phone for my phone get calls and 2 my wife who is a priority on my contacts, yet her calls do not come through..

What am I doing wrong ?
