While using a public WIFI my Private DNS reported it "Couldn't connect" see image. Being a public wifi I though that it was being filtered, but I noticed that Youtube version 15.33.34 was able to connect to the internet when all my other apps would not, like firefox and samsung browser and Email.

How is youtube able to bypass the Private DNS settings when none of my other apps where not able to access the Internet?Screenshot_20200821-185908_Settings.jpgScreenshot_20200821-185915_Settings.jpg

The YouTube app probably carries out its own DNS queries. I'm surprised youtube haven't changed this. 35 is the latest version, try testing that one.

If that is true and youtube uses its own DNS then that is a security issue as by setting the private DNS means use only the DNS setting I have confirgured. Android O.S. is created by google.
