Private Internet Access via basic VPN

I wanted to set up my PIA account on a basic VPN as their app seems to be draining my battery exponentially. Following the instructions from the site, I'm able to create the connection, but when I try to connect, I get an error saying, "Always on VPN requires an IP address for both server and DNS".

The instructions don't mention this extra requirement. What am I missing?
