If the phone gets bricked, if the screen breaks and you can't access it, if you lose the phone or it's stolen, if it's eaten by a giant squid, if aliens abduct it ...

Always keep in mind that no tech is 100% foolproof. Things fail, either due to normal wear & tear, defects, or unexpected acts of God or other deities.
