Pro-rated data cap change?

So I called yesterday and effective today I moved from the More Everything 2GB to the Verizon 3GB plan. My data cap only went from 2GB to 2.6GB today. My billing cycle began on the 5th. Is that a normal proration? Seems to me it should be a little higher for only changing 4 days into the billing cycle. Meh, it is what it is and it'll be 3GB next month of course, but does anyone know off hand how data prorating works when you change plans mid-cycle?

3.0GB divide by 30 days is 0.10GB/Day. Today is the 9th and you did it 4 days ago which would be 0.40. 3.00 subtract 0.40 is 2.60GB. It's correct.

To get the full 3gb,you should be able to have Verizon make it effective the first day of the billing cycle. Otherwise it would be prorated, unless you have unlimited.
