i listen to music usually through Amazon but sometimes stock samsung music app and a few months ago i noticed an app's ads would hijack audio even when not actively using the app, (Block This! vpn solved that). Now Imgur is doing the same and Block This! doesn't stop it (nothing actively plays so i *think* it's gifs playing but no idea really) as soon as i close Imgur it plays no problem. Anyone know how to fix/workaround?

Uninstall Imgur. Restart the phone. Install Imgur from the Play store. (And install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and a good antivirus. Also see [Guide] Malware / Adware / Popup Removal.)

I did what you suggested and it did not fix it. It's pretty annoying being as the ad itself doesnt play any sound, and I don't even need the app to be in use ( but it does it then too) very frustrating.
