Problem accessing NAS

Until yesterday I have been able to access videos, etc, stored on a NAS (d-link if it matters) from a Samsung S2 tablet, and from other devices.

Yesterday I changed ISP to Vodafone and got a new router. This is up and running, and otherwise seems OK. I am still able to access my NAS from other devices, but not from the S2 nor an Galaxy S7 I happen to have knocking around.

I have rescanned and the server list shows up the d-link server name, but it can't access anything on it. I've manually entered the local IP address, but it still won't access it.

I'm running the same version of ES file explorer on all android devices. I've been through the router settings and all the devices are recognised. It's strange that it's just the Samsungs that it doesn't work on. It's not just ES; I've downloaded VLC and this won't open any network files either.

It's not affecting an S3. OS problem maybe? The Tab S2 and S7 are on 6.0.1, my phone's on 6.0 and all my other devices are on 5 or less.

Does anyone have any ideas? TIA.

Make sure you're using AES, not TKIP or TKIP+AES on the router.

I looked these up, and they relate to the wireless security settings, right? The bit I read is from 2014 and says that TKIP is an old standard, so is it likely that this would be used on a router made in 2016? I can't see anywhere in my settings where these are.

FYI It seems to have sorted itself out. I'm not sure how though. I reset the route and hey presto! It's fixed.
