problem after at&t update

So I had a small at&t update on my s5. After it updated and rebooted, the touch screen wouldn't work at all so I couldn't unlock the phone. I tried anything but nothing worked. So I pulled battery and restarted and it worked. Is this normal?

I wouldn't say it's normal, but if it's working now, it's probably nothing to worry about. I would suggest booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which can be helpful after system updates. It won't erase any personal data. Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 5 | T-Mobile Support

I had the same problem with the big update a couple of weeks ago.
Did just what you did and no problems since.
