problem clearing cache stock recovery

I had to odin stock last night, I never cleared cache through stock recovery before. When I do it now it seems to clear it, then it says ERROR! Then reboots. Is this normal?

No, anytime it says ERROR! then that is not normal. Although I don't know why it would be failing.
Try reflashing with odin and also try a different download source for the stock image.
