Problem connecting to Android Hotspot

Hello,
I have a rooted Moto Photon and have it setup as a hot spot. I can connect to the device with my laptop (i'm on it currently) but unable to access the hotspot with my tablet. Is there a setting I am over looking on the phone or on the TF300? I have the Wifi/Hotspot setup with default settings, not secured (currently) for testing. Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure what to tell you. I am able to tether to my GNex so may it is your phone?
