Problem flashing stock rom

So I first tried using the Gnex toolkit to flash to yakju. Encountered a problem where I got stuck at flashing system.img. It just won't move on from that writing 'system' so I had no choice but to turn off my phone from bootloader and try again but still the same problem.

So I thought I might try manual flashing. This time I got stuck at flashing userdata.img. Similar to the previous problem, its stuck at writing 'userdata'.

Really need some help here. This is pretty serious as this has rendered my phone useless.

Try a better USB cable - the one that comes with the phone stinks (it constantly fails to copy files to/from my computer). I'm using a Blackberry USB cable and it works much better.

Try flashing the factory images from https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images. This will wipe everything and give you a completely new install. Try following the individual commands rather than using the toolkit. It helps to know what is going on.
