Problem formatting 32GB Microsd card in phone

I bought the Samsung Vibrant a week ago and I really like it. I immediately purchased a Kingston 32GB card to increase the storage. I just got it this morning. Unfortunately, the the phone's formatting options don't seem to work in formatting the card. Has anyone else experienced this problem? I did a quick google search before posting this and I saw people did have issues with the Nexus One and 32GBs as well.

Any suggestions??

I think it is likely already formatted.
When I added my Sandisk 32 GB card it read it immediately - nothing else was required.
