Problem getting a endoscope to work with my galaxy s5

I recently purchased an endoscope to plug into my Galaxy S5. I've tried the recommended app and many others and had no success. According to reviews for this endoscope it should work on my phone as someone else was successful with the same model. My phone is recognizing it but there's no picture. Does anyone know if there's been an update that changed something that I need to reconfigure for? Or anything else I can try?

There hasn't been an update to the S5 in a long time. Email the people who make the endoscope and ask for help.
