Having issues with the screen rotating to landscape mode and then back. When I pull it out of my belt clip the screen is in landscape mode and I fight it forever to get it to go vertical than when I want it to go landscape it won't...

Any tips?

If you use the app Extended Controls, you can put a switch-type widget on our home screen that can lock or unlock the autorotate feature. Will lock it in portrait. Also, in settings, you can uncheck the auto-rotate screen under Display settings.

The number of widgets you have on the screen will determine how quickly the screen will re-organize when you change landscape-portrait and back. I have LPP on my X and, with 7 screens, the shift takes a couple seconds. Not a deal breaker for me, but could be if I were in a hurry.

Im so glad someone solved his riddle, lol this post was buggin me all day. I musta texted my landscape 50 times at work, lol.

But I agree with you on the 7 screens for LPP. Love all the swiping of screens at the wicked speeds I can do but when it comes to shortcut amounts, oh man what a drag. I sit there and flip the darn thing annd have enough time to look at it again and say HEY SWITCH BACK before it does sometimes!

A really silly question here: Do you think just cycling through auto-rotate enable would solve the issue?
settings>display settings>auto-ratate screen, un-check then check again.

I tried that. It's really weird I can have the phone on landscape on the home screen and it wont rotate but as soon as I goto text or browser it is in landscape. Tried leaving the phone horizontal and it still never rotates.

But at work when its in my belt clip it rotates and I have to fight it to go back to vertical.

Believe I got it fixed by re-calibrating the compass. Not sure how there related.
